Approximately 30% of all homes in our service area are single-parent homes. There are hundreds of children who need an adult to volunteer to become a friend and mentor.

A child, (between the ages of 6 and 14), is referred to us by a parent, social service agency, school professional, etc.... or expresses a self interest in having a Big Brother or Big Sister.
The child and his/her parent or guardian complete an application and interview process.
Upon completion of this process and acceptance as a "Little", the child is matched with a qualified adult volunteer.
Two Programs are available for children: School-Based and Community-Based Programs. Our School-Based Mentoring program requires parent or guardian permission, but does not require the parent or guardian to complete an interview.
